Performance Demonstrations of Omega – HZx Interface with 2, 3 or 4 Wire Front Connection

In the figures below, we present measurement outcomes obtained through Omega Advanced Modular Frequency Analyzer with HZx Dielectric High Impedance Interface 2, 3 or 4 Wire Front Connection with FR-EX3 and Enhanced Limitation.

All measurements are done with: 
• 100cm BNC Cables between analyzer and Interface
• 25cm BNC Cables between sample holder and analyzer
• Sampling time 0.5s or 1 Cycle.
• Auto Referencing mode enabled

Omega – HZx – short circuit calibration standard – measured impedance <1mΩ in Basic Range

Omega – HZx – open BNC connector – measured capacity < ~2.5fF in Basic Range

Omega – HZx – 100Ω calibration standard – measured phase < 10m° in Basic Range

Omega – HZx – 2 Wire front connection mode – 100pF Polyester – measured Tan δ < 5e-5 in Basic Range – correctly compensated in high frequency

Omega – HZx – 2 Wire front connection mode – 100pF MLCC – 35Vrms applied – measured Tan δ ~ 1e-4 in Basic Range

Omega – HZx – 3 Wire front connection mode – 47pF MLCC

Omega – HZx – 4 Wire front connection mode – 100pF %2 Polyester. It measured 99.80pF with a maintained Tan δ < 5e-5 in Basic Range which equates to a measured phase ~ -89.999°. That shows the impressive ability to measure and differentiate phase angles <= 0.001° – overcompensated in high frequency with shorter leads used than short standard
